NAVBLUE is an Airbus company - NAVBLUE and Mission+ are registered trademarks from Airbus
Pilots using the NAVBLUE Mission+ app can now import EFB flight data straight in their logbook, with a single click of the button.
How to import from EFB?
You can install CrewLounge PILOTLOG on the company iPad, or you can use your personal device (iOS, Android, Windows, Mac).
Proceed as follows:
1- configure your CrewLounge PILOTLOG app
2- export the data from the NAVBLUE Mission+ app
3- import the file with CrewLounge PILOTLOG
How to configure PILOTLOG?
Open the CrewLounge PILOTLOG app:
1) on the Settings - Airline page, select the new interface NavBlue Mission+ for your company
- fill-out the different settings that come with this interface
2) on the same page in the Import Events section, make sure that Historical Data is turned-On for FLIGHTS
- if you run CrewLounge PILOTLOG on multiple devices (iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, PC) then verify the settings on ALL your devices (just to make sure that everything got synched)
- this interface cannot generate a DUTY around the FLIGHT as the data is received and processed flight-by-flight. If you record Duties in CrewLounge PILOTLOG, you must manually create the DUTY on the Duty page.
3) on the Pilot List page, edit pilot SELF and insert your company code as Employee ID
- omitting this step may result in your name and Pilot SELF both being listed on the same flight. Continue with this article (read here) to clean-up your logs.
4) on the Settings - Flight Logging page, select AUTO LOAD TASK = "from Airline interface / EFB"
- this setting allows to retrieve PF/PM (Landing Pilot) from email Subject line - see further
5) you may also want to read the following solution articles to configure auto-load of function times:

How to export data from NAVBLUE?
CrewLounge PILOTLOG imports the Briefing - Electronic Flight Folder (EFF) file from NAVBLUE - Mission+
To export the .EFF or .EFF.PFRShared file:
1/ tap the hamburger icon to open the side menu
2/ click on the FLIGHT MANAGER
3/ tap the 3 dots icon next to the flight and select Share
PF & OOOI TIMES
Actual OUT / IN
It appears that you cannot log Actual OUT and IN times with the NAVBLUE app. As a workaround, you can mention the OUT and IN times in the Subject line of your email, as follows:
e.g. 16:30Z / 01:25Z
0520L 0935L
It is important that you add "L" for Local time or "Z" for Zulu UTC. The numbers are discarded if L and Z are not given. Spaces, slash, and colons are optional and can be omitted.
When you include the Actual OUT and IN times in the subject line of the email, those hours will be taken. If not given, the revised Scheduled OUT and IN times are taken from the .EFF file.
Actual OFF / ON
The actual OFF and ON times are taken from NAVBLUE. These must be inserted into the "In Flight" page of the app itself.
Pilot Flying PF / PM
Similarly, since you cannot record Pilot Flying (PF) in the NAVBLUE app, you can add the Task as "PF" or "PM" in the email Subject line. PM stands for Pilot Monitoring, also known as Pilot Non-Flying.
e.g. 03:30L 05:25L PF
2320Z / 0135Z / PM
Important:
Adding the missing data works only for the EFB Inbox (email) method! If you use the EFB Share or EFB Web methods, you will have to edit the flight record after import and insert the missing items.
The order of the data in the subject line must always be OUT IN TASK, separated by a space, a slash or a combination of these. The "L" or the "Z" is mandatory. If TASK is not given, PM is assumed, or your configuration for Task on the Settings - Flight Logging page prevails.
How to import the .EFF file?
You can import your EFB data in 3 different ways!
All methods require internet access. You cannot share your data with CrewLounge PILOTLOG offline. Batch import (multiple files at a time) is not possible, you must share or email the files one-by-one.
Choose the method that is most convenient for you. Here is an overview, the details are outlined further down in this article.
EFB Inbox
Send an email with .EFF attachment to the dedicated CrewLounge EFB Inbox. This method is fully automatic, no buttons to click inside the app!
This method is very convenient if you prefer not to install the CrewLounge PILOTLOG app on the company iPad, especially if your personal device is not iOS.
Read the instructions about the EFB Inbox method below.
EFB Share
Share the .EFF file from NAVBLUE Mission+ app to the CrewLounge PILOTLOG app, installed on the company iPad.
If you prefer not to install CrewLounge PILOTLOG on the company iPad, you can AirDrop (iOS, MacOS) or SnapDrop (Android, Windows PC) the file to your personal device, and then import the file with the CrewLounge PILOTLOG app installed on that device.
Read the instructions about the EFB Share method below.
EFB Web
Upload the .EFF file to My CrewLounge, using the Safari browser on your company iPad. The web method is useful for company iPads that don't allow installing third-party apps and/or sending emails outside of the corporate domain.
Read the instructions about the EFB Web method below.
How does EFB Inbox work?
1) Export the .EFF file from the NAVBLUE Mission+ app, as explained above
2) Select the Mail app from the company iPad
3) Send the email to our EFB Inbox
- the email subject can be just anything or can be left blank (see further for additional options!)
- your email is processed within 90 seconds
- you receive an automatic confirmation email
- the flights automatically sync to your CrewLounge PILOTLOG app
Send your emails with attachment to the following dedicated EFB Inbox:
Replace XXX with the 3-letter ICAO code from your company
e.g. efb.aib
You can send emails from any email address. However, if the Sender address is different from your CrewLounge AERO account email, you must first insert that Sender address in My CrewLounge - Roster - Airline Interface - EFB Inbox (login here).
How does EFB Share work?
You can share the file straight with the CrewLounge PILOTLOG app installed on the company iPad, or installed on your personal mobile or desktop device, as follows:
1) Export the .EFF file from the NAVBLUE Mission+ app, as explained above
2) If you have installed CrewLounge PILOTLOG on your company iPad, then select the Import to PILOTLOG option
If CrewLounge PILOTLOG is not installed on the company iPad, then
- select AirDrop to push the file to another iOS or Apple device
- use SnapDrop (read more) to share the file with an Android or Windows device
3) The CrewLounge PILOTLOG app opens. Press the CONVERT button to process the file.
How does EFB Web work?
As a third method, you can use the EFB Web method and upload your .EFF or .EFF.PFRShared file to My CrewLounge, as follows:
1) Export the .EFF file from the NAVBLUE Mission+ app, as explained above
2) Select the Save to Files option and save the file in any folder
3) Navigate to My CrewLounge - Upload Roster
- launch the Safari browser
- login to My CrewLounge (login here)
3) Import the file
- select EFB - NavBlue Mission+ as 'Type of Roster File'
- complete the other fields, such as your Home Base
- tap on Browse and select your saved JSON or PDF file
- press the CONVERT button
To import multiple flights, press the CLEAR button and repeat the same steps for the next trip.
