F022 | India - E-Log Book eGCA

Modified on Wed, 17 Feb 2021 at 01:35 PM

Pilots can export flight hours from CrewLounge PILOTLOG for the purpose of submitting your logbook to the India DGCA through the new eGCA portal.

Notice that the requirement to maintain a personal logbook for the past 5 years is still valid in India. However, as per recent notification, you do no longer require a handwritten logbook.  You can print your logbook from CrewLounge PILOTLOG in any of the formats that are approved by India DGCA, and keep the pages together in a binder.

How to export?

Export the XLS file from CrewLounge PILOTLOG

  1. launch the desktop application
  2. on the Reports page, run form F022

This generates a XLS file on your desktop. The file is conform with V2 of the eGCA format.

How to upload?

Login to the eCGA portal (here) and continue with all steps for "bulk upload".  You find detailed instructions in the eGCA - Introduction Guide (here).

Download the XLSM template.  This template contains verification buttons.  You must copy the records from the XLS file (generated by PILOTLOG) and paste the data in the XLSM template (downloaded from eGCA).  When done, press the buttons for verification.

If any of the checks fail, please do contact us for investigation, or contact the eGCA support desk.

Note:

As per eGCA notification, the bulk upload feature is limited to flight and simulator records prior to 31 DEC 2020 midnight. All flying in 2021 or after must be inserted manually through the Current Entry page.  We have reached-out to eGCA with a request for XLSM or API connection, but there was never a reply.  If you are in contact with eGCA, please assist us with building the automation.
