CrewLounge PILOTLOG prints 150 different logbook formats.  These can be divided in three categories :

  • official state logbooks, issued by the local aviation authorities
  • published logbooks, issued by Jeppesen, ASA, and other companies
  • generic logbooks, printing paper-size filled

All these logbooks come with typical columns, like Departure and Arrival airfields, Name of Pilot-in-Command, function and condition time, and Remarks.  The logic is straight forward.

The following logic applies to all logbooks printed with CrewLounge PILOTLOG :

Logbook ColumnNotes
PIC TimePIC time includes PIC, PICus, SPIC and SOLO, unless there is a separate column for PICus, SPIC and/or SOLO in the same logbook
SIC TimeSIC time is only printed for multi-pilot aircraft
DUAL TimeDUAL time is always considered "Received".  Instructor time may go to "DUAL Given" if DUAL and Instructor time are logged on the same flight.
Day / NightPILOTLOG does not have a field for recording Day time.  You should not create a user time field either.  Instead, Day time is automatically calculated as Total Time minus Night Time logged on the flight.
VFR Time
PILOTLOG does not have a field for recording VFR time.  You should not create a user time field either.  Instead, VFR time is automatically calculated as Total Time minus IFR Time logged on the flight.
