Can we share a single user license ?
The license key is linked to your name. You cannot use the license key with another pilot name. Using a common license key, will corrupt mccCLOUD data synchronization (database backup and mobile phone sync).
Can we run the software twice on the same computer ?
Yes, you can ! Continue as follows :
- Run the software and make sure the application has synched with mccCLOUD - ENT Users
- Duplicate the files, as per instructions for Windows PC or Mac OS listed below
- Launch the second application :
- On the Tools - Start Over page, delete all records from the database
- On the Tools - Upgrade to PRO-ENT page, modify the User Name and replace (or remove) the License Key
About Step 2 :
Windows 2000-XP
- Copy the entire application folder from its default location C:\Program Files\MCC Pilotlog
- Paste (duplicate) the entire folder to any other location
- Create an additional desktop shortcut to mccPILOTLOG.exe in the new location
Windows Vista-7-8-10The application is stored in 2 parts :
- The start-up (splash screen) and update controller is located in C:\Program Files\MCC Pilotlog.
- The main application (with database) is located in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming\MCC Pilotlog
(you can copy/paste this link straight into the windows explorer bar)
Continue as follows :
- Copy the entire main application folder
- Paste (duplicate) the entire folder to any other location
- Copy and paste (duplicate link) the desktop shortcut icon
- Right-mouse click the second desktop icon, and add the new path in the Target field, as follows (mind the quotation marks !) : "C:\Program Files\MCC Pilotlog\mccPILOTLOG.exe" D:\my apps\MCC Pilotlog
Mac OS
Open Finder Go to Applications Copy the entire folder mccPILOTLOG Paste the folder and rename : e.g. mccPILOTLOG_mypartner Create a new desktop shortcut to the logbook application (in Finder right-mouse click -or click with 2 fingers- and select 'Make Alias'. Drag the new alias from the folder to your desktop)
