There are currently two versions of mccPILOTLOG :

  • Version 3.6 is developed for PC (MS Windows)
  • Version 4.0 is developed for Mac (Mac OS) and for PC (MS Windows)

Both versions are identical, except for a number of airlines that are supported.  Check out the Airline Interface page to make sure your airline company is supported in the version of your choice.

For info   By the end of 2018 all users (Mac and Windows) will upgrade to the new common application Version 5 (Mac / PC / Cloud).

NOTE !    Version 3.6 and Version 4.0 are not compatible with each-other !   You need to convert your database from Version 3.6 to Version 4.0  (guidelines below)

  • Make sure to first sync all mobiles with your Windows software Version 3.6 prior to converting the database
  • The backup from Version 3.6 on mccCLOUD cannot be used for Version 4.0
  • There is no backward compatibility.  You can convert from v3.6 to v4.0 but not go back.

Convert your database from Version 3.6 (Windows) to Version 4.0 (PC/Mac)

Mobile Sync in Version 4.0 (PC/Mac)

Version 3.6 (Windows) and Version 4.0 (PC/Mac) are not compatible and cannot sync with each other.

NOTE !    The PC, Mac and any laptops must be the same software version.  You cannot synchronize Version 3.6 (Windows) with Version 4.0 (Windows / Mac).  Verify the About page of the desktop software to find out what version you have.

All mobile apps are Version 4.0 or above.  These apps can still sync with Version 3.6 (desktop) if you use the correct Sync ID.  In Version 3.6 the Sync ID ranges from 1 to 9 (e.g. ABCDEFGHIJKL-6W )  while in Version 4.0 the Sync ID ranges from 10 through 99 (e.g. ABCDEFGHIJKL-12G ).

After upgrading to Version 4.0 you must :

  • add the devices back on your (new) mccCLOUD device list.  (on the desktop, go to the Settings > Sync PC Mobile page and add the devices to the list)
  • insert the new Sync ID (range 11 - 99) in the mobile device

The following solutions show you how to add your devices and insert your Sync ID :

Any data uploaded from the mobile device to mccCLOUD using the old Sync ID, cannot be retrieved by Version 4.0... !

Version 4.0 is using a complete new part of mccCLOUD for data storage.  You can run the following recovery tool to re-direct any lost data files from the old section on mccCLOUD to the new v4.0 section on mccCLOUD, after which your PC/Mac should find the files :
